  1. 1. What is Biomass?

Biomass is nearly as old as mankind, well since the invention of fire, simply as then, wood is burned in a furnace to create heat, which in turn can heat water to produce steam or hot water, it is simple as that.

Today’s Biomass is in sophisticated highly engineered and automated energy efficient boilers. It is near carbon zero and offers a cleaner more sustainable solution than fossil based fuels.

  2. 2. Is Biomass Already Used as an Energy Alternative to Gas, Coal and Oil?

Yes, Biomass is already well developed in the UK and Europe, but there is room for more, and more is needed; if we are to reduce carbon emissions to help reduce global warming.

Drax one of the UK’s biggest energy generators is switching to biomass to meet legislative compliance, however we all need to do our bit too!

  3. 3. How Will It Integrate with Our Existing Heating System?

Integration to your existing boiler system is relatively easy, we can simply literally ‘plug ‘a system into your existing boiler heating infrastructure.
Thus there is no down time until we are ready to ‘flick the switch on’ and it is as simple as that!

We undertake the site survey feasibility study for you, this ensures that we design the best solution for you in terms of technology, and also we undertake any planning and development issues.

We install, and maintain with our team of highly skilled engineers, whose vast experience will ensure the most economic system is installed.

  4. 4. Why No Cost To Us?

Simply, we are offering a total heating solution to you, so there is no cost and our aim to reduce your heating bill and from a simple survey we can tell whether or not we can provide a workable and sustainable solution.

We consider if we are going to be the best then we should start by giving you excellent service from the start it - is as simple as that!

All you pay is one simple clear bill, which helps you plan and budget your heating costs, as well as by using Unique’s Biomass solution we know we can offer you total green compliance on your heating and hot water needs; enabling you to reduce your bills and do your bit for the environment as well!

  5. 5. How Secure is the Fuel Source and Technology?

Our systems are built in, with their own proven feeder processes, thus no manual labour is required.

The fuel we provide is either wood chips or pellets and we undertake all the supply of the feedstock material so no worries over the fuel source this is sourced from proven and reliable suppliers.

Most systems can be designed for either a bi  - weekly supply or monthly delivery. We have a team of dedicated engineers to provide technical back up and spare parts should they be required. Our maintenance package keeps down time to a minimum and servicing can be carried out at low demand periods.

  6. 6. What About Waste?

Biomass boilers have their own filtration systems built in; any ash that is collected goes in a dustbin, which we remove periodically and any waste is only disposed of through authorised licensed waste companies at our cost as part of our management contract.

  7. 7. How Do We Start the Step Change Process?

It's easy to start the whole process from a simple meeting and survey, then we come back with the best workable solution for you and you simply sign up to a heating energy supply agreement and we do the rest!
